One Job Done

Well, first job on my holiday list done. Stripped down rear brakes, cleaned and greased the backplates, fitted new wheel cylinders and shoes, adjusted the brakes and reset the handbrake.

Tomorrow will bleed the brakes, fit the new Tailshaft and shocks and take her for a test drive :-)

while you have it apart pays to remove the handbrake rear cables and soak them in kero overnight, then oil the and pull them through the armour plating cables several times till the run free, makes a huge difference to the operation, some have grease nipples but the still get gunk in them and sieze up

Thanks for the tip John, but not required as the cables are new ones. Must have been replaced by the previous owner. Cheers.
