I don't have an issue with the nyloc nuts have used them for years , castellated nuts are becoming rare these days anyhow , the grease nipples are a must in my book as " greased for life " is pushing the bounds of credibility , if the joint dries up and stiffens then the weakest link is going to be the nyloc nut which is going to slacken off eventually and let you down.

my 5 cents

you could always drill & tap say a 3/16 thread in nut & fit a grubscrew.

Just replaced the VN ball joints. Nylocs, one had a nipple, one didn't. Dads '92 Terrano... new joints in the shed... waiting, came with nylocs, no nipples. Spose it depends on who's making them.
I thought about drilling for a splitpin and original castle nut, but the threads are different!

They don't make em like they used too!

Well that's all right, really didn't want to take wish bones off again and get new joints pressed in but now I've got to find a new nylock cause I'm [Naughty Pottyword]ed if I know where I put it. Thanks for the help

Years ago I used a syringe snap in needle on my grease gun for ball joints without grease nipples, then all you did was wipe it clean and put a dollop of silicone on the hole, next time you would pick the silicone off or just go in near it, didn't matter if you didn't use silicone just wipe the spot clean and go in the same hole. Bit of a mess just gotta press the rubber a bit to release the pressure so grease doesn't ooze out while driving.
