hoping someone might be able to tell me what a HK 186 in this kind of condition is worth. runs very well. low miles. some minor body work to do and paint is a bit faded.
Yeah maybe 6K with a good detailing and 12 months rego. I'd pay 4500 straight up if it really has no rust, but I'm a tight arse and i've already got one.
Hi, Nice car, I'd agree with the above of 6K could be more (you don't know till you sell it), if its got books proving the miles. The steering wheel is very worn for 32,000miles and a there's lots more chips on the pillar than you would expect for 32,000 miles. But hey even 132,000 miles is low. Cheers Drew

HQ Premier Sedan and Kingswood Wagon, HJ Ute, HZ Sedan, WB ute and Stato, what to work on or cruise in today?
but I don't think it is worth $6k, but as the above post says - I too am a tight arse. There was one advertised here a while ago for $8500 from memory (couldn't find the post) - bucket seats, opel 4 speed, console, GTS dash, nice paint. Looked very nice and nothing to do.
thanks all, i'll have to have a look next time i'm back re the rust. i'm only going off what the old bloke told us about the k's and what is on the clock. he was a real nice old bloke but other than that i don't think dad got papers with it proving miles or anything. cheers for the feedback, really appreciate it.
i own it, i live away from the farm these days but my family is still there. dad came across it driving past this old blokes place who had it out the front for sale and rang me about it to see what i thought, i liked the sound of it and we thought we couldn't go too far wrong so we bought it. it came back to ours and has remained in the shed ever since....prob 3 - 4 years or so. it was going to be something to do up but we haven't got around to it or had time really.
Those low k's are a seller, but if the old man coaxed you into buying it, and you've had it that long, forget selling it mate, wouldn't take much to do it up in the condition it's in, I'm still quite shocked at an old stocko with those k's looking like that...
yeah cool, thanks for that, oh for the prev poster, we weren't coaxed into it. he was a very genuine old bloke from all reports. was just getting old, wasn't meant to be driving anymore and decided to sell it. small country town and an old pensioner. we've dealt in a lot of things over the years and can usually tell when someone is trying it on
sorry i didn't answer your question. yeah i reckon you could just spray the boot. it's bee a couple of months since i last saw her but the boot is really the only part that has drastically faded. back end stuck out i think at the blokes place who had it before us.
i think i was only getting a few of these messages last night as there seems to be some i either missed or only showed up this morning but in reply to stan.....i can't prove the low k's. not trying to prove it, not getting upset that i can't. for all i know it might have done 632,000 miles. any potential buyer would obviously take all that into account and there is bugger all i can do about that. i'm only passing on what i know about it. i'm not ramming the car down anyone's throat so i'm pretty sure it'll all work itself out one way or the other if and when it comes time to sell. i'm not sure about having to rebuild everything, don't know why you would say that. pretty big assumption to make. it's a bloody solid old vehicle. oh and i appreciate your comments eddie, i can assure stan that the car isn't a dud;)
Drop maybe 1K or 2K of what I said before, I'm not having ago at the owner or the car, when it comes to selling claims of low mileage if it cant be backed up, drops the value immensely. Cheers Drew

Hi there
The car looks nice and straight a country car. If there is no rust I would say value $6000.
You need to thoroughly inspect the car under the floor matts and have good look at those sills and front guards. I like it lots of potential. Cheers
You can have any colour you like, as long as its Fowlers Ivory,
HK value
