202 engine oil leak

i fitted a reco engine QL serial number and it's leaking from the rear and harmonic seals.my mechanic tells me the crankshaft may be bent.is this possible

The problem, whatever it is, belongs to whoever sold you the reconditioned engine, however, if you fitted it yourself then you need to take it to the reconditioner or get the reconditioner to come to you.

Yer its possible your crank is bent, but it is more likely the engine was sitting for a long period of time causing the front and rear seals to dry out and fail once started

well had a simmilar prob a while ago , turns out when engine was reassembled the dipstick tube was not seated in enough was sitting an inch to high and end result i was overfilling it by dipstick level , remedy was easy tap the dipstick tube all the way ,drained the oil and refilled with correct amount , all was well . took heaps to work out what was wrong , its the simple things that drive u crazy
