Are a multi million dollar business and there are plenty of 500 companies that have been around for as long if not longer than them, yet in saying that, collectively the Stones members combined wealth doesn't equal that of Paul McCartney.
Hope a Beatles v Stones argument doesn't break out! As a guitarist I quite like both bands (Ronnie is highly respected) but I still love The Who more than both of them put together I'm afraid. The really great thing about the Stones is that most of them are still around and still playing together of course!
Unreal band.. love to listen em in the car.. you know there was a little segment on a morning show a couple of days ago about how mick jagger is gay???!!!!??? caught in bed with David Bowie by his missus years ago apparantly!!! (not tryin to bring up a debate, just seen it on telly is all..)
Mick playing around with Bowie for a little while? Yeah, that old story has been around for decades. I think I first heard it over 20 years ago. Nobody really gave a hoot then, and the only reason anyone does now, is that an author is trying to capitalise on some media attention.
HK'ing.

'In days of old, when knights were bold, and suits were made of tin,
Old Ginger Meggs, with bandy legs, went out to fight for Min.' (Lloyd Piper)
I saw the Stones only once, at the Bris Ent Cent, JUST before Mick n Keef turned 60 (became old). They were even better than I expected. Richards sang pretty well, all things considered.
The promoter chose a great support in You Am I, but the wrinklies amongst the ticket buyers just didn't geddit. Old folk are so dumb!
Off the top of my head, The Seekers are the only band that could rival the Stones for longevity. Is there anyone else who gets close? Mormon Tabernacle Choir? (although they've had a history of line-up changes - far more than just a drowning, an indifferent bass player, etc).

Who formed in 1961 and their line up remains unchanged to this day, they're best known for their infamous song "Radar Love". Equal to the Stones is Status Quo, both bands were formed in 1962.
...and raise you Spinal Tap.
They formed in the early 60's, and to my knowledge, still going. They've had the same line-up, although they've had many drummers because they keep dying.
Tufnel, St. Hubbins, Pudding, Upham and Stumpy played their first gig as SPINAL TAP at the Music Membrane in December 1966, Tap's debut hit single, released in July 1967.
good not great---want a good concert our own AC DC are gods on stage:-) did ya catch em last year??awesome!! And cool old guitarist is Eric Clapton and cream very cool!!

Do not argue with an idiot. He will drag you down to his level and beat you with experience..
My son once worked for a touring company as hired hand that serviced all major international acts, one night when AD/DC were performing he sent me a text "hey dad check this out" followed by a picture of Angus and himself in a huddled pic. He said that the members of AC/DC were cool as they talked and mingled with just about everyone prior to the show, also unlike most other international acts they also allowed all of the hired help stay backstage for the entire show.
We know the 4 current, then there's Mick Taylor, Brian Jones, Bill Wyman, who are the others? Or do you mean the musicians who've been with them for years?
in the line up...Tony Chapman? some one Stewart or Stuart, and a few others too, if I recall correctly??? When they lived in France there was a whole heap of people living in the house at any one time all muso's. My first album was 'Get yer ya ya's out'.
great shot of the survivors....saw them in the voodoo lounge tour at the SCG.....completely blew me away......saw the eagles at the same venue around the same time on the hell freezes over tour.....they ran an equal first in rock legends I've seen over the years.
