Air tight doors

I've had this problem forever now and thought I might throw it up as It's actually starting to annoy me.
Whilst driving with windows up (mostly above 80km/h) that terrible "windy" sound coming from around the doors. I've replaced the rubbers and it's definitely not coming from around the windows.
Has anyone else got/had this problem?
Remedies?
Or is this just what comes with old holdens?

Have you got mirrors on the doors? That could do it.

Did you do the doorbelts and bailey channels too when you did the rubbers? I've never been in an HR above 80ks (only in a paddock) so I wouldn't really know if it's normal.

nice to get an answer for this one. My HG howls wind through the top of the front doors, especially the passenger side. Doors seem nicely lined up and rubbers are like new. I just decided to deal with it, it doesn't do me any harm and for some strange reason I kind of like to drive the thing with these little issues, reminds me of just how old of a car I'm driving in.. worse comes to worse.. radio goes up..

I have seen on numerous OHs the window frame become sightly distorted leaving the slight gaps in the seal. They can sometime become out of square or just slightly bent outwards. It can also be a symptom of the door being re-aligned. The window frames can easily be moved by hand to re-adjust. The problem then becomes how to isolate where the air is leaking in. You may be able to put some easily removed marking material on the door seal to see where it does no make a proper seal.
If you do get all doors to seal properly, then closing the last door can sometimes be difficult without winding down the window.

Hmmmm.
No I havn't checked the bailey channel, but I'm certain it's the door seals.
I might revisit it, and try a few things to troubleshoot it.
It is really no biggie thou as I rarely drive with the windows up, it's winter that's a killer.

Thanks for the input lads, appreciated.
