Re-re-posted (ta to, ahem...Ado!)

Andrew put this up ages ago. I think it works in some ways that the green EH 2dr custo seems to jar a bit...
[EDIT - Nope, it was Ado who posted this originally. Also, it's not remotely like a Plymouth Fury's roof!)
HK'ing.

Yeah, looks good.
THANKS
There was talk a day or two ago about a 2 door HR. They look OK, but the roof-line just doesn't. This roof-line might work OK though...

The Tudors - pt 2.
I gather the EJ was the last of the in-house designed Holden bodies. The EH and subsequent HD & HR featured the edgy, angular seppo lines of the day. Nothing wrong with that, but I don't think this swoopy (50's Chev inspired?) roof would ever work atop an EH, etc.
Holden's drawings of an HR coupe have been posted here every once in while. They feature a very angular roof line, including a sharpish edge above the rear screen and at least as long a boot as the sedan. (Better than the oddly curved lines around the lower edge of the HR sedan screen actually.)
[EDIT] Conversely, the HK-T-G Monaro roof line returned to the curve-edged turret design. This was reputedly inspired by some Opel models/design, and subsequent Opel coupes of the 70's demonstrated that same smooth roof styling too.

That works and give a cool 50s 60s Rock n Roll style.
Nothing is rare, you just need to know where to look.

Yep, that's the thread in which Ado mentions he posted this pic 2yrs prior. Your site access & research skills are demonstrably awesome.... Not quite sure who in that thread was promoting any seppo companies though.

"Reseach skills"?
I think we have some wires/topics crossed. Not quite sure what the next surprise accusation or topic might be though... :-)
No, I don't recall why Ado joined OldHolden. At a guess for more or less the same reason as any other member?
I'm more than happy for anyone to point out how/if/why it relates to me, or the context of me re-posting a pic of a cool custom, that others have also admired and posted in the past.
