Where on the carburetor of Holden HQ is the throttle stop screw?

Hello,

There is a mention to the throttle stop screw on the page 40 of "the Holden 6 series HQ-HJ". But there is no photo of it in the book. So I can't adjust idling of the HQ engine. Please help me.

Kind regards

See this pic ...ps on the later models eg HX HZ the carbies had solenoid fitted with the plunger acting as an idle stop screw...when the ignition is on the solenoid plunger opens the throttle and when the ignition is off the throttle closes completely to avoid dieseling. I didn't think HQ or HJ had this arrangement - you will know if your carby has a wiring contact to a solenoid..if it does - simply rotate the solenoid plunger to adjust idle - either by hand or small spanner.
