My WB van used to get 27mpg on the Highway. 202, 3spd manual, 3.55 rear end, on petrol
My 186S HG sedan did 300 miles range on a 80lt LPG tank, but when I converted to Trimatic it went down to 250 miles

Don’t know, don’t care. For the amount of time I actually get them out for a cruise, I guess it’s insignificant, you just enjoy it. But if they were used as daily’s or with more regularity I guess that’d be a different story

Yes
But at what cost
I’m told that you can lose horsepower up to 20%
I did some research on it 20 years ago and was told by a taxi driver that long distance driving is well worth it but around town and shot distance you lose a bit
I never thought it was worth spending the money on the conversation or the duel fuel systems set up

stock 308s running on lpg. different systems- all similar performance..in general I'd estimate I had about 15-20% reduction in performance and about 15% increase in fuel consumption...a few problems along the way re repairs and maintenance of the extra components...more attention to ignition and tuning (gas less forgiving). My first conversion cost about $1000 in 87 and the pay back period was around 30,000km...I was doing about 40,000pa then so it worked out reasonably ok...all up I saved money...so if you have a guzzler, do a lot of kms and will keep the car for quite awhile...it was worth considering...all my stock 308 autos have been woeful re performance eg 18 sec 400m...so I didn't really care that it dropped even further...

or 13mpg US. It should be better than that esp 80% highway...I had a 202 trimatic HX van - so red engine and I got around the 20mg to 22mpg city driving...that had a 3.55 diff...I used to get about 14 to 15 mpg on 308 Statesman's turbo 400 turbo 350 and trimatic red and blue engines..3.08 and 2.6 diffs...about 12 - 14mpg when running on gas....I'm thinking you should be getting low 20s. so say 13-14 l/100k..all my engines were stock ..the best I ever got out of a 308 was 18mpg....that was doing 90kmh on long trip...some people would tell me that could get mid 20s but I never got anywhere near that...

didn't want to get into the lpg debate, was just giving some figures for comparisons,
since i use my old holden as a daily driver and do a LOT of highway kms, between 20-30,000 kms a year, it has definitely been worth changing to a dedicated Lpg system.

My red EH's (179's and 202's) usually return about 22 to 25 MPG which is quite good, dependant on what carby etc was on the car at the time. My HJ 202 auto all stock, returned about 25 MPG also, as did my 253 HQ's in days gone by. My VF 6 litre well was insane on fuel 8 to 9 litres per 100 km's with power on tap, the highest it ever got was 10 litres per 100 km. In the pic check the KPH, the fuel use at that moment, and the revs.

nice pics nitrox. not easy to do.

your's looks very similar to my ss 5.7L ute with 3.08 diff.

that is, 2000 rpm == 120kmh...but i never seem to get any better than 15L/100kms, which i think is about 19-20 mpg. it doesnt seem to make any diff if use 98 or 91..

with absolute respect, that 4.9L/100kms for a 6.0L seems waay too optimistic...somethings gotta be wrong there eh nitox? i know this sounds like my jealousy though...
