that one of Wanda Beach carpark in 1962 has me asking a question though, why are all those surfboards, deck side up?? Normally all your wax would melt and that is just a big headache to re-wax your board.
Maybe old skool Al can answer that one??

I don't know why they did that,the yanks started it maybe a new or fad thing at the time.I do know however back then they used parrafin wax which was a very hard wax and it would've taken it a bit longer to melt than our modern day wax😄👍
