Keeps blowing yellow fuseable link Vr commodore

I have a VR that keeps blowing the yellow fuseable link, after replacing the fuse it will start and operate normally for a random time and blow, ive checked for shorts, and even consulted the schematics, has anyone experienced or know of this problem?

assuming none of the down stream fuses are blown...the items that could have an intermittent short from the 60A main fuseable link is the ignition switch, main feed to engine compartment fuse panel, main feed to passenger compartment fuse panel, start relay and starter motor..so carefully visible check those wires for any signs of damage...take out the link and measure the resistance between red wire and earth. Fiddle around with the various wires/connections for the above circuits and operate the ignition switch to various positions to see if anything will drop the resistance to almost zero..your biggest load on that link is the starter motor..is it blowing when you attempt or shortly after starting? that may be a hint...
