ah triple d,

never have i seen anything more bewdiful than that car!

when i was about 9'ish, (about 1969) i can remember going on a cub camp with one of the parents who had one just like this. same colour too. i can vividly remember, going behind the car, and being mezmorised by the amount of fog coming out of those gorgeous exhaust pipes. ah......so wish we had one.

I new a bloke in Cairns’s that had one when I was younger and it was a classic
Sadly he sold it to buy a house for his family, I was on tour in East Timor when he sold it he tried to sell it local but he needed the money
Never seen or heard of again
He was told it changed hands a few times and last heard was in Darwin

As I always say
Stay safe all

mate...i dunno what it is exactly why i so adore this particular model but its definitely something to do with it not having anything between the front and back window glass. how was that?! ..and those dress rims were like, better than mags!...i think i thought they were actually mags! ..and those gills were so eye-catching....and thats was just the outside of the car!...ahh

I had one back in the day, 1968 HK, same colour (Portsea Blue i think it was called), but only a 186S and Opel four speed box. Great car, wish I had never sold it. I bought it second hand and always thought the previous owner must have had the black stripe over the top removed, however i recently found out it was an optional extra and some chose not to have it. The Mildura Holden Museum has a 327 HK Monaro in the same colour too. The car was a great chick magnet too ;)

I was told at a car show that the black stripes were only on the V8 model ?
I do know the black stripes on the side of the HT GTS were on V8 only
