Hz van Disc rear brakes

Hey guys and girls

I need to upgrade the rear brakes on the pano and I have heard that you can fit vn - vs ( boarg Warner) rear brakes to a hz large Salisbury.
Is this true???
Has anyone on here done this conversion?
Is it worth it or should I try and find disc brakes from a statesman or similar
Thanks in advance

I run a Heavy Duty HQ racing brakes and the rear are drums and Iโ€™ve never had a problem,
There was someone on hear that changed The hole rear end to a VN-VR
I think BUT Iโ€™m not sure you have to shorten it then get it approved as you now have a modified vehicle and if in Qld need a Blue Plate
If I was going to up grade to disc brakes, Iโ€™d find a Statesman rear and rebuilt it and bolt straight in

if you convert HZ from drum to disc you need to change the proportioning valve on your master cylinder http://oldholden.com... (photo of HZ prop valves)
i haven't heard of anyone swapping over vn-vz discs and calipers. unless they have converted the full borg warner diff over, then you have problems with stud pattern and wheels.
look up aussie V8 forum, alot of modified cars there.
