Steam/water cleaning hood lining

I'm borrowing the steam/water/vaccuum cleaner from work to do the interior of the Suzuki.
It has one of those moulded type hooldlings that modern cars have. I know the fabric is prone to coming loose on them. (the Suzuki is good). I'm just worried that when using the machine on the hoodlining the moisture/heat will make the fabric come loose from the base.
Anyone have any experience of using these cleaners on a hoodlining?
It's a Karcher Puzzi 8/1C cleaner designed for fabric and car detailing.

“Don’t Use Steem or a Wet and Dry vac on a hood line of a car”
Heat and steem will either burn or shrink or scare the material,
Water from wet and dry will make it to heavy and fall down, this can damage switch’s for electric windows and doors lock,

I use to use a spray bottle with interior cleaner and a shoe brush and a clean cloth
In the 10years my wife owend a car detailing business this is the only safe way to clean them without damaging them

It's just a heavy cardboard-type backing if it's anything like my Commonbore headlining, I reckon it might start sagging. The glue might give way. Might start to go mouldy too, with all that moisture.
But.. It might be ok if you pull it out and do it upside-down, then let it thoroughly dry?
Good luck..

If it’s not putrid, I’d leave well enough alone, I washed a corolla one once and it shrank.

Thanks everyone.
I guess it elbow grease, the spray bottle and cloth on the hood liningthen.
I'll just use the karcher on the seats and the carpet.

Old is good.

The main reason that modern headlinings fall is because the foam falls apart, usually when a recover an old board you'll find most of the still stuck to the board.
