I have a copy of the register of early holdens that were imported into NZ from the first FJ up to FC. My copy is not totally accurate as the copy people stuffed it up. I know where the original copy is and may be able to find more info about your EH such as the dealer where it was sold, key number, body number etc. Which ship it came to NZ in as well as the port where it was unloaded. My copy doesn't have any of my old holdens listed but the original copy does.
I lived in NZ for almost 19 years from 1976 to 1995.
Email me on my handle at Hotmail dot com.
Cheers,
Ron

Regarding my earlier post, I must have deleted some of it while typing.... I know that the NZ assembled early Holdens from 1957 FE onwards didn't have any interior or exterior details on the tag, only the sequence of the car model during production. EG: EH225 NZ 1234. They were assembled in Wellington.
There is another register of fully imported Holdens sold new by GMNZ which covers up to HR I think.
The first Holden sold in NZ was the FJ in 1954.
Good Luck.
