186 Rear Main Bearing Cap Torque

Hi, been a long time since I posted anything here.
Anyway I'm doing a rear main rope seal on a 186 and I'm just about to do up the mains caps. My ellery's manual says the mains caps torque spec is 60 - 70 lb/ft but it then also says that the rear main bearing cap torque spec is only 20 - 26 lb/ft. Does that sound right? Never done one before and not sure myself. Anyone able to shed some light on this for me at all? Thanks.

when I did the rear main seal in my HR red engine I used 70 ft/lb..that was with a neoprene seal..same spec is listed in my Hx/HZ service manual...it doesn't specify any different for rear main...maybe the rope seal requires less..?
