Your best bet is to a genuine VC VH bosch to a blue motor or a VK bosch from an injected black engine.
If possible the genuine oil fill 12 volt coil but if not a bosch HEC716 coil will fit the bit & be sure to have a constant 12 volts to the coil while cranking.

Commodore dizzy is the go.
You will also need leads and spark plus to suit the HEI.
NGK: BPR5ES-15 or 11
Bosch: WR8DCY+ (1.5mm gap) or WR8DCX+ n (1.1mm gap)
Probably the most important thing is getting a full 12 volts to the coil. You can either replace the resistance wire from the ignition switch to the coil with a copper wire. The easiest method is to put a relay in coil power feed.
Does anyone know where the HEI relay wiring diagram is in the Holdenpedia? I cant find it.
