1995 VS STATESMAN HELP... CLIMATE CONTROL

Hi Guys

its been a long time between posts, but i have a problem that need some help with...

Ok i just got a vs statesman and everything was working on it when i got, But the windows and the climate control have stop working now..

I pulled out the center console to get to the wiring for the windows and found a home patch up job on the passger side switch.. This has now been fixed and all is working fine with the windows..

now to the climent control..

1 i have checked all the fuses and all seem to be fine.

2 I had a climate control from a VQ stateman and that seem to work with the current wiring in my vs.

3 I hooked the vs one back up and it was working again..

4 was driving around today with my aircon on and was working fine and then it stop working for no reason and wont turn back on again.

I know the wiring is ok be cause i and ran the VQ one with it, And i know my climate control works be cause it was working when i got it and it was working just berfore..

So dose any one know what the problem could be and how i can fix....

thanks UTEBOY.

vq climate control unit is very differant from the vs one this is commonly blamed for them to stop work not the case pop you bonnet up the back of your engine bay where the wipermotor mech is bolted in is a dome cap held down bye 2 screws undo it under neath is the sensor for the climate control change this
check the gas in the system as well if it is not that cold

Hey crazy
This going to sound like a silly question by what side is the dome cap on. I can't seem to find it any where. And how big is it. The only thing I can find is a big black thing that has a few hoses that come out of it and the brake fluid housing bolts on to it. The air is still very cold in it or it was today when I was driving around in it.

its under the plastic cover about the middle next to the wiper mech assembly its a black dome cap with an almost rectangle base has 2 screws in it go to the back of the bonnet area and between the windscreen and engine bay is some very thin plastic panel to make it look pretty lift up the plastic it bolts down under the wiper arms with about a 22 mm nut on each one lift it you will see it

My Vr statesman has CC and i hadnt had it working until recently. I check my system and found the prob, eng bay fuse out. Put new one in and its working! But i turn car off n the fan keeps blowing air ? Ive looked at sensor under windscreen it looked ok, is there any way to reset your ECU to perhaps clear a logged fault or something ?
