Holden 1971 HQ Statesman Deville

Hello, my elderly father is considering selling his statesman. I'm uncertain on a couple of things & would like some advice please. Images attached. 1. In your opinions should he sell or retain ? 2. If he sells what is a fair asking price ?

many variables, his age, his health, sentimental value of the car, whether anyone in the family would like to own it...does he have a place to keep it, does he use it...if he is getting old, doesn't use it and no one in the family feels passionate about it he may as well sell it..or he becomes older and it's another hassle or becomes someone elses issue to deal with...re price/value..it depends on many factors, mainly the condition of body (paint and rust), history, originality and what engine/transmission...in general though a HQ Statesman is a desirable car by many so it would generate interest...my initial thinking is between $10 and $20K - recommend you have a look at recent auction prices and make a comparison....this article from last year identifies a HQ Statesman as one of the top 10 Holdens to invest in and puts a price of $20 to $30K...with the caveat that its a subjective assessment but supports the model would be popular and sought after....https://www.carsales...

I’m going to agree with dirdsme on price, as will very with condition, I’ve seen some go for around $25000 in top condition and than as low as $5000
