Testbench 202 not starting. Ignition issue/No spark.

Hi fellas.
I've just setup a 202 on a testbench frame and looking to get this thing firing up. For whatever reason I've got no spark. I've even changed distributors and coils from a running vehicle and still no change.

I've hooked up the +ve from the battery terminal to the +ve of the coil, then have a +ve wire going to the +ve of the distributor.

On the negative side, I've got from the -ve of the battery terminal to the -ve of the coil and then to the -ve of the distributor.

I'm using a jumper lead on the starter motor to wind the motor over, but I'm not getting any spark.

I'm sure I've got something wrong here somewhere? Any help in the right direction would be greatly appreciated!

Cheers Fellas!

put the negative from the battery on the block the negative from the distributor (green wire) on the coil negative only and batt positive to coil positive and distributor +=pink.
It currently wont run as your earthing out the coil by having the constant negative on the negative terminal the distributor turns the coil on and off by switching the negative
just noticed the date on he post think youve probably worked that out by now. don't ask how i got here

The root cause was greed

you don't want a positive wire going to the positive of the distributor either - otherwise you are shorting out the battery everytime the points close...maybe you have explained it wrong.
As hz tonner has stated above you are also not switching the primary winding of the ignition coil with the -ve side of the coil permanently earthed...
