HQ Holden Panel Van Upper Tailgate Lock Barrel

I don't Have a key to the lock and I am trying to remove the lock barrel out of T handle on upper tailgate. I have removed the pin just above the square slide pin on the round shaft and people have said the lock barrel should pop out and key numbers are on the side of the lock barrel. I removed the pin and after trying just about everything, nothing still comes apart. Is it just the lock barrel that comes out of the T handle or some other way it comes apart. Hopefully some one has had success with these locks Any help appreciated. Cheers

I might be stating the obvious, but have you tried every key at your house, workplace that you can find that'll fit the barrel? I've had success over the years jagging one and the right amount of manipulation.

Bryan

probably corroded in the handle spray wd 40 in it
if you have an old key out of another lock try using it to wriggle the barrel to free it up
if you remove the pin theres nothing else holding it
these were the same from fx to hx in how they are assembled
