Removing 202 from WB

G'day Brainstrust
I'm about to remove the 202 from my WB tunna. My query is that the motor is connected to the aussie 4speed with the bench seat shifter, so is it necessary to remove the whole shifter assembly with linkages to get the engine out with box attached or can the shifter come through the trans tunnel hole with a bit of wriggling and jacking up the front of the car? Having never done this before with a aussie 4speed box a bit of sage advice would be greatly appreciated.
Cheers all
Al

yes you have to remove the shifter off the rear of the box
makes it a lot easier to remove motor and box

I was hoping not to. So as far as I can see there are three bolts holding the shifter on and I have to undo the linkages yeah? Thanks Holden Owner

It must come off, tried getting my motor out till it was obvious i forgot the shifter, lol.
Three bolts hold the shifter to top of gearbox, should be able to get them from up top, through gearbox hole and the linkages off at the gearbox then pull shifter and linkages up through the hole. Simple when looking at it.
