Spark Plugs for Red 202 with HEI Dizzy

G'day folks,
I've been doing a bit of research trying to find out what spark plugs are the go for a red 202 that is running an HEI ignition and dizzy from a VC to VK commodore. Most of the posts I've found here and elsewhere are ~10 years old and the plugs that were being suggested (champion golds for instance) don't seem to be in production anymore and I'm not too keen on using NOS. Does anyone have any suggestions for plugs that are currently in production? I read that the blue 253 and 308 plugs will fit the red head, but I was just wondering if there is anything else to consider other than being the right fit and having the right gap (1.5mm from memory).
Cheers.

the length of the plug is something to consider as well so that the electrode is in the optimal place...there was a poster on here recently that had a problem with carbon build up http://oldholden.com...

Thanks Andrew. I have read that the plugs from the blue/black heads have a longer thread, so can't be used in the red heads, but it is definitely something I need to consider further. Apparently the 253 and 308 heads have a similar thread length to the red 202 but I am having trouble finding any concrete info on this.
