Wondering what the preference was for Cain and Lynx manifolds on 202 with 350 holley? Cheers

Probably not much difference in performance but I would think the Lynx is better quality, from what I was told back in the day Cain manifolds were made from recycled stuff and the quality wasn't as good

Buy an old used Lynx mainfold.
Don't, whatever you do, buy a new Lynx manifold. The ones they make today are useless garbage. They now are made under licence by Weber Performance in Melbourne. Even the owner of Lynx disowned them when I spoke to him about the new manifold I bought.
It might be worth considering a Weber from XD/XE Flacon. They have a much better reputation than the Holley on a Holden six.

Would you still recommend a Lynx manifold for the Weber? I recently bought one and am on the lookout for a decent manifold. I've been looking at Dingo, Lynx, Cain, Speco, Aussie Speed, etc...

I would only recommend a Lynx if you could find an old, second one that was made 30 or 40 years ago. I would never recommend a new one after my experience and that of another bloke who had the same trouble.
I think the Aussie Speed manifolds need final machining to suit the ports in your head because they are a compromise to fit red and blue/black heads.. They are made like this because nearly every modified six is different. Ring the Aussie Speed bloke and talk to him to confirm this.

Old is good.

I've spoken with the Aussie Speed bloke very briefly before. He said the Weber will fit straight on but I didn't ask about the ports. Cheers.

the cains seem to have the largest runners at the turns - compare to a redline side by side and you will see what i mean
