HK Monaro Speedo

Maybe this one is for Dr Terry.
Were the HK Holden's exported to any countries that would have required them to be fitted with a metric speedometer?
Today a fellow showed me a HK Monaro Speedo with a face that was in kilometers. He said he has had it for 20-30 years and does not know if it is original or has been changed to metric. If the clock face has been changed it is an extremely professional job. It was a Monaro faschia as it had a maximum speed of either 220 or 240 kph (I can't recall exactly) and the Monaro speedo's were 140 mph and the other HK range were 120 mph. I will try and get a photo of it later this week.

Cheers, Mick.

Yes, metric speedos for export Holdens started in FB. I'm not sure that New Zealand used metric measure in 1968, but plenty of export territories did.

In the mid 70s when these parts were readily available. I purchased several HT/HG metric speedos for my car & a few friends' cars. So there was nothing especially rare about them, unlike today.
