on first look those compliance plates don't look like they have been swapped..? so it would be quite rare anyway ie a 2 seater panel van with a 308...also the roof lining extends to the back..the basic "belmont" van didn't have that..maybe the Kingswood van did?

Its more than the tags to make a car , bugger all of any value there is that as good a starting point of a body a bloke can find if he wants to build up an old van?

Hiding rust under body filler isn't actually repairing the car. Even harder to catch out bogmen these days as filler has metal fibres in it.

I am no expert on these cars but I believe HX Sandman have sports mirrors, and this car does not.

If you look at the last picture the compliance plate has been removed, but in the 4th last picture it is there, with $300 written beside it, but no sign of the $300 on the last picture.

The second last photo it appears there is no Body Identification plate or VIN plate.

No console mount points to not being Sandman, but full length headlinning points to it being a Sandman or a B04 pack. So I am going with a B04 pack.

possibly the current seller bought it for $300 or less..looked at the plates before or after and thought it was a Sandman (difficult to tell) and is now trying to profit big time..I'd think the only sure way is to have the original purchase order when the car was bought..otherwise it's just speculation..I wouldn't have thought there would have been very many 2 seater 308 HX commercial vans ordered..I'd expect that combo to be rarer than a Sandman..having grown up in that era amongst a family of city based tradesman and extensive tradesman networks who bought Holden and Ford utes and vans for a living, plumbers, gasfitters,electricians, carpenters, mechanics and general builders I never encountered anyone who actually had a V8 yet alone a 308...they all had 6cyl 202s or 4.1s..and never any options..they were just work horses and that's all...never loved or cared for...with only whatever needed to be done to keep them running and reliable and no more...usually very overloaded...only my experience - maybe things were different in more affluent areas or the Eastern states/country areas..or those that bought the vehicles for recreational rather than work purposes...

definately been a commercial van as it has the Tare etc on it, that tag with the $300 written next to it is weird for sure, its the same shell, you can tell by the moss growth on the windscreen, so theres definately at least 2 different time frame pictures in there, Only sandmans came standard with full hood lining, and all sandmans were based on a Belmont spec van as far as i know. the tags do look like they not been removed in the pics where they are fitted. i agree with dirdsme current seller probably bought it for 300 could havebeen a while ago though and is now trying to sell it but the tags are now not fitted

Also just realised that in the pics on the trailer the chassis is still fitted, yet when its on the ground its not

The tare and gross on side was on all vans/Utes trailers even caravans in WA. It also had factory air con.
