HQ stubs on HR front end

Does hq stub axles widen the track when on HR front end. Internet has lots of opinions.....

By eyeball they do, but my eyes continually let me down these days!

I switched from HD to HQ stubs on my FX with HR front end, but only to drop the height, i dont recall it changing the track width at all
i know it made the steering geometry not quite 100% but still drives fine, i think i used 1 tonner power steering arms as they worked best of all the options,

I think they widen the track by 1" on a HR front end.
You can get a kit to put P76 rotors on the HQ stubs which brings the track back to standard HR.
I did this many years ago for a P76 V8 powered EH wagon with a HR front end. I just ordered P76 rotors drilled to the HQ stud pattern. I used the HQ calipers.

Old is good.

Wasn't the Leyland v8 alloy. I am curious to know how that went. Would that be lighter than a red six? And are parts easy to get? I took the HR stubs off mine to put Hq on to fit my weld wheels. I knew it dropped the ride height by an inch but if it alters the wheel track that would be why my tyres rubbed the guards. All good now, I have vr/vs hubs.

hq stub axles dont change the track on a hr front end.it's increases when use hq rotors.p76 rotors will bring your track in 13mm a side over hq rotors on a hr front end.as for the hq stub axle having different spindle angle ,a wheel alignment will fix that
