Hq engine swap

Alrighty then I have a hq Belmont with a red 173 3 speed manual and banjo

Will I need a modification plate in qld if I were to:

1. Swap out the 173 for a red 3.3 with the engine prefix of VL?

2. Swap the diff for a 10 bolt

All above board is the main concern

Thanks in advance Allan

Since a 202 was a factory option, fitting it will be OK. In some states the engine must be the same year or later to preserve the emission standards.

A red 3.3 will be Ok since they were fitted to HX and later.

A 10 bolt will involve changing the entire rear axle, are you sure you don't want to just change the banjo centre and save trouble?
