What a waste

This a very rare car in Australia: https://www.ebay.com...
I like my EH but I'd also love something like this. Most cars of this body shape were the 220 with a 2.2litre six and conventional suspension. They only made 5,000 of these worldwide.
The 300SE had a 3 litre six with hemispherical combustion chambers and air suspension.
The air bags were $600 set 20 years ago, the air suspension valves cost $750 each reconditioned 20 years ago and there are 3 of them. Reconditioning that motor would cost a fortune today, let alone paint and a retrim.
It's beyond my budget. (I don't even have a budget)

Wouldn't be hard at all.
Everything is available, and at good prices if you know where to go.
But, once you get away from general maintainance items parts for these rarer Mercedes can get expensive.
Mercedes Benz have a guarantee that they can supply any part for any car they have ever made. Sometimes it will be hand made and cost both arms and legs, but they will supply it.
