Putting A/C into an HZ ute

I'm considering buying an HZ ute without AC, however I would like to install AC without molesting the ute. The choices are find a complete unit from anything up to a WB, get a modern compressor and and install, or go for something after market (I prefer no knee freezer).

Does anyone have experience in this area and I would be grateful for any suggestions. I don't have time, tools or experience to fit myself so would be after someone to do it for me.

Thanks

I've had 3 HZs and WBs with factory air and had nothing but problems with them. I would avoid the GM A6 compressor unless you want an original look. They are expensive and in my experience unreliable. In one WB I replaced the A6 with a Sanden and I found it much better. In the HZ I had problems with the TX valves and the evaporator freezing up and in both WBs I have had problems with the heater box vaccum pods that control the duct doors. These are hard to get, expensive and also unreliable - so if/when sourcing originl parts take care with these items.

Yes that's what I was aiming for but sounds like they are problematic and unreliable - I had forgotten how much room they take up under the hood! What do you mean by a dealer fitted unit?
