HR 50th rebuild

My Xmas presents finally arrived. New V6 conversions IFS for my HR & a Supra 5 Speed. Got the brake booster & Rack end kit. Got a rebuilt VS power steering rack. VS stub axles etc. Been a good few months but finally all here. My engine is still being built so got to be patient. At least I can start taking the old girl apart. Lots of fun ahead!

V6 conversions IFS can be made to suit 202, V6 or V8. Only the engine mounts are different. Had mine made to suit a 202, 186 etc. Stickking with the straight six. But gives me future options when straight sixes die although that may be a long time.

Yes & no. Have a VN Commy diff to give me discs on the rear & same wheel pattern all round. Suspension will be the original inline leaf springs, extra leaf added & sway bar. Would love modern rear end but I do have a budget to keep.

What parts are you using to adapt the supra 5 speed to the v6, does someone make an adapter, I didn't think anyone did with all the T5s and getrags around? Also which V6, the earlier "Buick" or Ecotec?

Yes I am quite impressed by the quality workmanship. Great piece of kit & all bolt in which makes this conversion very easy. Not cheap but you get what you pay for.

Looks great mate. I have one too. Where are the coil overs? Mine came with adjustable coil overs. Just be careful with the engine mount brackets, I had to trim the excess meat from mine to allow the engine mount to sit down far enough for a bolt to go through. But otherwise fantastic.

They are still to come. Apparently not locally made. I am told they are on the way at no postage charge to me which is great. Tks for the tip about the engine mount, exactly the type of advice I need, Cheers.
