Maximum Wheel size for HR Sedan

What is the maximum wheel size that will fit under unmodified HR wheel arches? I have Commodore VS stub axles on front & commodore VN diff on rear. Need to know diameter & width. I am sure plenty of you have done this. Don't want to buy & be disappointed. Cheers for any help.

Never done it but the HR stock 13 inch tyre diameter was 592.7 mm , a 15 inch Commy rim with 215/50R15 tyre will give you a diameter of 596 mm which will not affect anything.
Cheers

I had 205/65/14 they were of a HQ on my HR ute back in the day and had HEAPS of room.
I think with a low profile tyre you should get a 16 maybe a 17inch rim

Thanks Guys. Think I will start with a cheap 15inch Commodore rim and go from there. Seen a lot of HR's with bigger wheels & Tyres but don't know what they had to do to fit them. Checked the Dept of Trans here in WA it seems the Tyre size & Aspect ratio is not an issue anymore for cars the age of a HR.

Don't think WA Transport give a stuff about much any way , I recently bought a car that had WA rego and was driving around daily and had changed hands in the last year but it would have been many years since it would have passed RWC in any other State due to advanced structural underbody rot, I had not seen the car due to being in Qld but the price was OK and I was happy to take a punt and the transporters were cheap enough as it was drivable .I spoke to the seller about it after I got it home ( not whinging ) and he said that there are no RWC in WA even when a registered vehicle changes hands. So no doubt there are a heap of dangerous vehicles on the road out that way , beware !!
