Sorry, Not OH (but i'm venting)
but im getting sick of going to the shops, watching the news, driving on the road and every day having to live with the consequences of the number of selfish di%*&eads whose parents obviously never taught them a dammed thing about how to behave in society. Free range parenting or just plain lazy parenting. I dont know what it is. If it's love its very misguided.

These idiots clearly think they are doing their kids a favour by giving them whatever they want.

Now we all have to put up with their dumb parenting decisions.

Sorry to those who dont believe in swift consequences such as a good hard smack for disobedence or rude behaviour. I do. I turned out fine. So did my 5 kids and we get on very well as a family. None of us need counselling either.

They have all grown up and turned into ferals around here.
My wife and daughter took our dog for a walk after they closed the shop today and saw:
1: Feral yelling at her kid to get back back in the back seat because she wanted to get back into the car (passenger seat). Kid said that she was only looking for her tissue. Mun just told the kid to get out of her seat, again.
2: drunk p!ssing against the wall of the Commonwealth Bank. He finished, picked up his bottle and lurched off.
My favourite was the dropkick in the XD with the leaky muffler who used to pull up at the bottle shop drive through every second day and sat there with the motor running while his woman climbed out the passenger's window and got him a carton (the door wouldn't open). She would come out, put the carton on the back seat, climb in the window again, and off they'd go. Just another day in Laurieton.

Other than that, Laurieton is a really nice place to live.

My dear old dad and mum raised 4 boys.
and i must say,as kids we weren't perfect lol.
My mum and dad never hesitated in given us a smack over the back of head or a clip under the ear.
Thankyou mum and dad for teaching us boys RIGHT FROM WRONG.
My wife was bought up the same way,
And when our 4 year old daughter started to act the goat in Coles, my wife gave her a smack.
A woman said to her "you shouldn't hit your child" and my wife replayed " why not ? she will learn as i did as a child, or do you want one to ?
I must say, I took a HUGE step backwoods, as i didn't want one lol
TO all the DO GOOD'ERS out there.
You do what you will to raise your kids,
and we as GOOD Parents will raise OUR children OUR way the right way that NEVER hurt our gen or the gen before us.
My wife is Always being complemented on how well mannered and behaved OUR children are

Like wise, I got more than the odd belting when i was a kid, and always thought about it before i did things, was it really worth the flogging i woul dget if i got caught?? usually not
now i dont flog my kids never have never will, but i have been known to give them the odd clip around the ear, I learnt many years ago the trick to keeping them in line, a whack on the nappy with an empty coke bottle, makes a hell of a noise scares em crapless but dosent hurt them. do that a few times and just the threat of it keeps em in line, LOL
from the ages of 6 or 7 onwards my kids have never needed any more than a raised voice to toe the line, now as Teenagers i get nothing but compliments about them, they behave better than i ever did, and im proud of them.
The other thing i think makes a big difference is talking to them
when younger and in prams my wife would walk everywhere with them, and constantly just talk to them explain things identify things to them, no just plonking them in front od a screen, we still to this day talk straight to them no sugar coating things no baby talk, and they have a better grasp of communication than either of us, get almost straight A's at school
reckon we must have done something right somewhere along the line
