Diff shortening

Anyone got an idea of the approximate cost to get a rear end shortened?
We've scored a 3.45 limited slip rear end from an XR6 and I was kind of wondering how it would be in our EH.

At least that is what a friend was charged to shorten and fit new spring mounts from a Fraud 9" to fit an HG. That included 31 spline axles. This is in Melbourne. Figure around that much anyway.

Thanks.
Considering what a good Holden banjo LSD costs I'd rather spend the $1400 plus a bit for tailshaft and brake modifications and have a rear end that will last forever in the EH.
Now to find the money.

Old is good.

I just paid $1100 to have a BA ute diff shortened to 1370mm face to face, modified to fit an EH and have the LSD centre rebuilt. This also included new wheel bearings. I left it as Ford pattern though. We have dual stud pattern wheels so there was no need spending extra to change the pattern. Also Ford use nice big 1/2" wheel studs which is a benefit.

Thanks Scott,
Leaving the Ford pattern on makes sense to me. The money saved on custom axles and modifying to suit early rear Holden drums would probably buy a P76 disc conversion for our HR front end.
I hope that isn't the daughter you are building the ute for that's in that pic. LOL.
