HZ brake pedal

Hey all I have a auto brake pedal I removed from a 1978 HZ tonner. The parts im restoring. Question is the Clevis pin that holds the brake booster arm to the brake pedal doesn't fit. The hole in the brake pedal is larger than the Clevis pin. The Clevis pin is the same as the booster. Why is the hole in the brake pedal so big. Any help.

looking at that picture it sounds like you are missing the bushes (part 3) that goes into the larger hole on the pedal and the clevis pin fits in the bush?

Hello the clevis pin is part 6. Part three is the Bush that the mounting bolt uses. Part 6 attaches the brake booster arm to the brake pedal. The clevis pin is 3/8" diameter so is the hole in the brake booster. The hole in brake pedal is 1/2" diameter.

I just went and looked in my shed at a couple of spares, the Auto Brake pedal I have is from a HQ going by the pedal rubber which has the metal disc brake badge in it. The Clevis pin in that is a small size compared to the brake pedals I have from a manual HZs. (size differences that you have measured sound about right.) The parts books for both models have the same part no with size of the clevis pin being listed as 0.375" (3/8ths).

ah yes - sorry I didn't look at the drwg carefully enough. I just had a look at my WB - The booster is same as HZ (except how master cylinder connects) - there doesn't appear to be any relative movement between the clevis pin, pedal and booster arm - which you would think you would feel if there was any difference in size.
