Tailshaft IDs

From this pic can anyone confirm or deny what I have put on to the tailshafts with the ? on them. (The chalk worked real well for the pic) I am looking to keep the Std v8 Ute one and the HR auto one and if it is right the HR manual one. But I would like to know if I am right on the others. The measurements were made with a tape measure so may not be 100% perfect.

In regard to the one you have marked HT-Z Sedan, 6 cyl HK-T-G are 26 mm shorter than 6 cyl HQ-Z. I used a HT one in my HZ when I did the V6 conversion.

Not sure on the exact length of each, but I have both in the shed, can run a tape measure over them tomorrow.

I also used a 6 cyl LH tailshaft when I put the Celica gearbox in my EJ. You only have 15 mm difference between the bottom two in the pic.

Are your measurements taken from hole centre to centre?

Thanks Brett. The measurements are taken from hole centre to hole centre. The tailshafts with the ? on them are because I am not sure what they are out of. The others are known tailshafts. So from what you have said the the 1430 mm one will be HT/G and a maybe on the LH/X one.

I've always thought the HK, the HT and HG would share the same legnth tailshafts (when running the same driveline).
The reason i ask is that i've tucked away a tailshaft that i think (or thought) is a K-T-G V8 to TH400 shaft.
If i go measure it, Would you guys be able to confirm just what it is for me ?

I do not have time now to do the conversions from imperial to metric right now. But I will try and do it later today. Dusty if you post the measurement we should be able to work it out hopefully. But if it is turbo 400 it should have the big yoke on it (if it still has the yoke on it).

My "[http://gallery.oldho...|tailshaft]" measures 58 and a half inches from uni eye to uni eye (measured from the centre of holes).
I've been of the opinion that it was for a 327 and TH400 into HK-HT-HG Monaro...Is this correct ?

Late edit...Would my remeasuring it in mm be easier for you's ?

Rusty the only measurement that I have that is near that size is a HJ 308 turbo box in a 114 in wheelbase (stato/wgn/ute or van) at 58.6 in/ 1490 mm. If it is from that and it has not been painted it should have a dark green band on it. A HK 307 glide is 55.45in and a HT 350 glide/man is 53.75in. The measurements I have tell me that a turbo 400 is longer than a glide is. So therefore the tailshaft should be shorter than the HK/T shafts above. I do not have a HG book so I can not tell if there were any other variations for them.

No worries Dusty. Dont no where I got Rusty from he hasn't even posted in this thread. It must have been one to many B52 shooters that night and the fact it was the early hours after a whole two hours sleep. But still went off at six am to the bring and buy markets and came home with a 350 economaster holley for $20 and a 186s badge for $1 and a Humbrol modelers airbrush kit and compressor for $20. Now I can repaint my grill badge for the HQ and a few other bits of fine spraying I want to try.

I measured up the two that I have. I am 100% sure of the cars they came out of:

HT 6 cyl 3 speed synchro 1429 mm.

HZ 6 cyl trimatic sedan 1453 mm.

Measurements taken between centres of universal caps.

The HT tailshaft that I have is the same colour as the one in the pic marked "HT-Z SDN"
