VS Commodore Fuel problems

Hi Guys i have a VS Commodore duel fuel daily driver. I run it mostly on gas but from time to time a switch it over to petrol. Yesterday morning i switch it over only to have it conk out on me.

I have 3/4 of a tank of petrol in there so i know its not empty unless my gauge is faulty which i dont think it is because i use the same gauge for the gas as well.

I have checked the fuses but still no luck. Just wondering if it might be the fuel pump.

If that is the case is this the sort of job that is easy enough to do at home or is best to take it somewhere and what sort of cost would i be looking at to get it replaced.

thanks

I would be wondering if not running the car on petrol very often has left your injector nozzles gummed up?!? Could need an injector clean possibly.

I run it at least once aweek on petrol to lubricate the heads in it. As instructed by my father inlaw

You should be able to hear the fuel pump if it's working or not, switch it to petrol before starting and see if you can hear it prime when key is switched to ignition on.

I just did my vs statesman fuel pump, twice. Replaced the old one and it broke down due to gunk straight away. The tank was full of this gunk, I had to pull it out and totally wash it out. Its been working well since then.
