ID tags

Im looking at buying a HQ holden, but it has no tags . I have been told they can be replaced is this true? and is it hard to do. Shane

You can purchase reproduction tags but without the original tags you cannot tell what goes on the new tags. Some companies also require you to supply the old tags before they will reproduce tags.

Essentially you do not need the tags on the car to register it, although there maybe some questions as to why the compliance plate was removed (the big tag with the chassis number and ADRs on it)

For a HQ you just need the number that is on the chassis near the steering box.
