Unleaded fuel availability slowly declining?

Question:- A new BP servo has opened up at the Northern end of Nambucca where the new highway bypass will go. I noticed that they dont sell 91 unleaded fuel? The Caltex in Macksville doesn't either?
Why? I thought unleaded was the most popular and therefore would contribute to more sales and profit.
I have heard it said that the government isn't allowing it in new servos in an effort to phase it out to push people into E10?
Any ideas?

not selling it, or just not on the main price signage? cause i heard the other day they only need to advertise the price of the 3 best selling fuels at that station.

no 91. I run 95 in the kingswood but im talking about the daily driver runabouts that most of us drive, toyota, commodore etc... Most of whom including us use 91 unleaded. This stuff seems to be unavailable at some servos, thats my point, Why? I thought it would be most popular. Maybe im wrong and it isnt as big a seller anymore??

Yes our pre VE Commodores run on it but these are getting few on the ground, they are now "old cars".

There was something on the radio yesterday about young driver's being killed on the roads, with something like 60% in old cars, more than 10 years old, some as old as 15 years old. So anything pre 2007 is old, making a VE Commodore old by road user standards.

So with most newer cars running on 95 or 98 no need to supply 91 any more, just like leaded, was to be available forever, but so few cars use it they stopped making it.

The same will go for 91.

The same shall happen when electric cars are by far the vast majority on the road.

There is government legislation to mandate the use of a certain percentage of e10. It's not yet being enforced though because they realised people weren't taking it up and the target wasn't happening. The obvious choice for a service station to axe would be 91. You would probably find most people don't care what fuel they use and the price would be the only factor. If e10 is the cheapest on the floor then it will sell.

cheaper by a couple of cents p/ltr but will obviously rise in price when it's all that is left , I don't use it , even in late model commodore as I believe that like LPG you lose about 10% of your mileage anyway so you are not saving anything ( not even the planet !! )
