for around 10 years in both my 253's , used straight from box and never had an issue with starting or running. Never changed them either ,still as good today as when I got them.

Not Brisk plugs but look very similar. There has been a long and sometimes heated discussion about Brisks and Kiker(?) leads. Do a search mate will keep you entertained for hours!!!

I've seen them at Supercheap but I haven't used them.

They should only spark to the closest electrode.

you will likely close the one of the gaps up after the piston hits those particular plugs!!

IMO a waste of money for any engine, as car13 says spark only jumps to the closest gap. the packaging and ads are often misleading, showing every electrode with a dirty great spark jumping to it. not in the real world...

tested many plugs on the dyno for our hq racing stuff, busted a lot of guys high hopes. all the big dollar plugs make less power than a $5 ngk R series plug - best part is theyre cheap so can be changed as often as required.

Why use NGK R series in a race engine over standard type? I thought R series only meant Resistor type?

my bad - the R i referred to was in the beginning of the part number R5673-7-8-9 or R5674-7-8-9
not bpR6fs for example.

I have not and do not use them in anything other than my motorbikes and only then they dont seem to make any difference except in my DR650. The bike shop put me onto them and although sceptical I did give them a go. In the DR it has two plugs that pulse and it has a micro switch that gives a double pulse at WOT. It has quite aggressive jetting (and extensive engine mods) and with all plugs runs very rich at low engine speed but with these plugs it seems to get a better burn and more power at WOT. I have not done a back to back dyno using both types of plugs so cant prove it but I think it does give a little more.
