be careful. google search that company prior to purchase. many unhappy customers. probably many happy ones too??

personally, i have seen his product. was custom made to a size my friend gave him, even then he still made it bigger than that size and it doesnt fit without body mods. welds look like a tafe student did it on their first time using a tig. from my experiences i'd not go near one.

Yeah that's why I'm doing my research don't want to make the wrong decision on that. Do you know if guys are running another Holden radiator or custom made one

Have heard some bad tales re ADC, but only suggested them as they're Aussie (so will be familiar with the model/make) and they'd have them on the shelf

Have you tried PWR, or there is a guy at Brendale on Brisbane Northside that does custom radiators. I hear they are good. Might be pricey but you get what you pay for. ARE radiators Kremzow Rd Brendale. They have a website so just google them.

i know of a hr ute with holden v8 and trimatic, it doesnt drive far cause he cant keep it cool. no room for a viscous fan and im not a believer of 95% of electric fans on the market.

also theres a lot to be said of having room around the engine for air to exit the engine bay. cramming in a big motor can cause a high pressure area behind the radiator which of course means less airflow past the core. air in must also get out.

I have a 383 in my HR, I have fitted a Aussie desert cooler was made to suit the motor and car. I was told i had to modify the front rails to suit but I was still not happy with the way it sat 20mm to high and with the thermos mounted on the front it sat back to close to the motor after cutting the sides of it and mounting my own brackets it fits now it fits perfectly

Why is the motor covered? Can you post better pics please? eg. How close motor is to radiator, etc.

I also have a 383 . My block is grout filled to the bottom of the Welch plugs, so not as much fluid. I was told you need 2000cfm from your thermos to cool any v8 minimum. I have also had my pipes ceramic coated, inside and out, which looks great but keeps the heat out of the engine bay. Electric water pump also will do the job by keeping a constant flow whether the motor is at idle or flat out. I trust you have ditched the splash pans so air flow should be ok. Hope this helps. People like to hear answers not negative comments. You are not a pioneer as this has been done before. Congrats, hope to see some pics.

I always the splash pans might help create a ventury effect on the airflow through the radiator at speed and thereby assist in cooling.
I really can't see removing the splash pans helping cooling as the pressure of the air through the radiator would prevent any cooling air coming from where the splash sit if the they weren't there.

Just a suggestion, As old mate thinks "big engines" in old bays can not get rid of heat. Maybe his mate has a problem with his motor. e.g. Coolant flow or otherwise. As He said air in must get out.

I have an Aussie Desert Cooler Burnout King radiator ($800) in my EH 355 sedan. I have an eBay cheapie HZ V8 radiator ($200) in my EH 308 ute. The sedan sits on 100 degrees with the twin 12" Davies Craig cycling. The ute sits on 85 degrees with the twin 14" Davies Craig fans cycling.
