my father organised a HK coupe in that color for his brother back in 68. was a 186 disc brake, reclining buckets, gts instruments 3 speed all synchro car. I ended up with it and painted it blue, gts guards and hotted up the six...fun times
Females are over represented when it comes to used car sales IMO.
"It was then I knew I'd had enough, burned my credit card for fuel
Headed out to where the pavement turns to sand...."
If only you knew then.... what you know now.........
You'd go out and buy a HT 350 GTS Monaro
it would have to be "one of those" hg's or even a 73 late LJ xu1 with the Bathurst updates
how many blokes have driven their womans car on a quick trip to the shop on a Saturday morning then wasted the rest of the day fixing it my ex's oldman used to maintain her car after I once drove it to the shop and noticed the brakes were metal on metal I found out she had told her oldman I had done the brakes to shut him up as she couldn't or wouldn't come up with the cash for disks and pads she won in the end as I brought the parts when i fixed it about a year later I remember thinking i wish I'd have cut the brake lines instead
Do a trade son you'll all ways get work. What a load of shiit that turned out to be.
Lady driver? Well maintained?
Doesn't mean it hasn't been driven hard.
Joan Richmond was the first Australian lady to drive a race car professionally. No doubt hers were well maintained.
There have been plenty of lady driven, well maintained cars since: http://www.foxsports...
That said, that looks like a nice Monaro.
Old is good.
back in the early 80's we had a vc valiant sedan as the family car. even then the engine used heaps of oil, dad used to fill it regularly but if he was busy doing long hours on the farm it may have slipped his mind. so if mum took us kids into town and the oil light came on, my dad reckons she just thought that meant just casually go home, dont go visiting anyone else or making unnecesary trips lol.
the old slant did many a mile with no oil pressure!! funny now but i'd spew if my wife did it today...
Its hard to kill the leaning tower of power
