I took a look at a HR for sale today thanks to a lead from another member here. She needs some work, but perhaps it's priced right.
Some questions / food for thought from the collective brains trust here;
* It's a Special, running a 202 and trimatic 3 sp auto column shift. Currently registered, but he hasnt got the safety certificate. The car is under club rego and I got told by the authority that I can change it to full rego as long as i have the rego, safety cert and receipt / transfer paperwork. As he does not have the current safety cert, does this need to be re-done? if so, will I need to have anything engineered / mod plated for the 202/trimatic setup?
* it currently has a nice set of EH buckets in the front, I would like to change that over to a bench, i assume this will need to be engineered also, how much trouble is that?
* I will need to mount a baby seat in the rear for when bub comes for a cruise, how have members done this to their cars (if so)?
The car itself needs the following;
New Paint (its really not good at all
New front right door (or rust cut and repair)
New front right guard (or rust repair)
Ignition barrel + door and boot locks
New glove box as the internal is missing
Lock on inside of drivers side 3/4 window as it is missing
replacement wing mirrors (as they have mounted EH mirrors up high)
Outer chrome trim (strips) around the whole car
Full rubber replacement kit
Car has a flat spot when taking off, so needs a tune / carby kit
The bloke is asking $8500 for it.
