X2 manifold

Hi
I have a 161 in a HD (not orig - I know) I've bought a x2 manifold
can I fit with existing single exhaust manifold - or will I need headers?
I have a 23-3051 Stromberg carby (off a 173 HQ) I need a matching carby - or any ideas on how to make another carby match (venturi kit?)

any help and any pics of an x2 manifold in place would be really appreciated.

Thanks
Andrew

Have a look in my shed at the X2 setup on my HR.
I had the new exhaust with headers installed before I installed the twins, so I never checked if the two manifolds fit together but I'd bet money that they do.

It shouldn't be to hard to find another carby with the same venturi size, have a look around at the wreckers for one that matches, you can get them pretty cheap mind you if it is from a wreckers its probably been sitting around outside for a number of years and is due for a rebuild anyway.

If you need any more photos of specific stuff just give me a yell.

Hope this helps,
Tom

If your single manifold has the water jacket built in it wont fit, unless you grind into it and disconnect your heater. Had the same trouble and went heaterless till i found a suitable manifold. Mark:) [http://gallery.oldho... [http://gallery.oldho...|My Shed]

You will need to grind a little bit of your single exhaust manifold for the X2 inlet to go on.There will be a raised square bit on the exhaust manifold. You will need to grind on the right side of this.
