If you use commodore rims you wont need to shorten it.

There are kits available from castle main rod shop and probably hoppers stoppers to adapt HQ-WB discs and calipers to your HR front end. You may be able to grab that kit pre drilled with the commodore stud pattern. If not you will need to obtain some blank HQ-WB rotors from DBA and 10 wheel studs from your local Holden dealer and have them drilled to suit commodore at an engineering shop. I have only recently sold a HR front end that was modified as above and it all worked well. I used the CRS kit and quality was good, that was put together over ten years ago.

As we all (hopefully) know HQ-WB and commodore stud patterns may look similar but they are not the same and using them with a commodore wheel is a reicpe for disaster.

Changing to the commodore stud pattern also opens up your choice of wheels considerably. Dont forget you will also need a brake booster and new master cylinder to operate discs.
