trolley jack oil

hi what sort of oil do you use to fill trolley jacks with please? and while i'm asking, what sort of oil to use in air compressor?

You can get hydraulic jack oil from most auto shops and any engineering / industrial outlet. You can get compressor oil from anywhere - Autopro / Repco etc. They both come in 1 Litre bottles. If you have a direct drive compressor you can drop in some wynns or nulon etc - any oil additive and it cuts down the noise and the heat.

Political Correctness is a doctrine, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd from the clean end.

As above, I buy both at autopro in 1 litre containers but if your stuck (as we were when picking up an FJ body from a clearing sale)you can stick vegetable oil in your jack; I'm not recomending it but we did it months ago out of nessesity and the cooking oils still in it and working fine.
