is there a gasket or o ring for the dipstick on a 202 and what would cause oil to come from the base of the dipstick any help appreciated
I TAKE IT YOU MEAN .. from the bottom of the dip stick tube where it goes into the block .. it could be loose and not pushed in properly , it could be split , the seal in the top of the dip stick where it contacts the tube is missing , the dip stick is not pushed down properly into the tube, or oil leaking from side cover plate and running down to around dip stick tube base...
The dipstick tube should be glued where it enters the crankcase.
Use Holden cylinder head bolt glue.
Holdenpaedia, they're the brakes Mate.
ok thanks i will replace it and try the head bolt glue
