Hi all,
can anyone tell me what extractors would fit a HR that has a 202 engine. I'm at the point of fitting an exhaust and am i'm undecided if I should stick with the exhaust manifold or look for 2nd hand extractors (on a buget as always). Ofcourse I need to know if the extractors will clear the engine bay.
cheers,
Dan

gday all,
i finally worked up the guts to take me oil pump off today
hoping that when i blow out the check valve and clear anything that might be
causing it to stick after me recent engine reco.
the symptom is, that it seems to take too long for tappet noise to stop
with first starts in the morning. it never did this before reco.
anyway, took it all off and brought it into me bench. found check valve. sort of was a bit sticky but i've never done this before so don't really know what a goody feels like. blew it out with wd. didn't notice anything come out.
bu**a! one of the bl**dy gears came out on the bench but i did notice gear
markings on both gears but had no idea how to properly mesh the two gears because i didn't take note of mesh markings.

Hi all, any one help me? I was testing my thermo fans in heavy traffic. ( thermos worked perfectly ) but after about 10-15 minutes of idling and moving at snails pace in heavy traffic i got my first piece of clear road and the engine starting breaking down. It started missing and felt like a backfire through the carb. After a good stretch right through first to second it cleared and drove well again. please help me understand whats going on coz i'm stumped !!

How to you replace the ignition column selector rod on a wb ute? These are 3 large bolts which hold the steering column up, is just a matter of removing these to lower the column and get access to the selector rod?
Cheers

Hi all,
Got my car back from the mechanics today, and the front end is all fixed up.
Got new adjustable strut tops, he reco'd the brakes all round, replaced the steering rack and gave it a good wheel alignment and its like a new car now :) But, when i got back to the shed and was taking it off the trailer (I didnt load it on my dad did) it didnt sound right, and it backfired and coughed on me 4 times in the space of about a minute. It had never backfired on me since i fixed that rocker a few weeks back and was running fine until this. So I then called dad who had left and he said it coughed for him a few times aswell when he was loading it on.

I am trying to loosen/adjust my pedal box in HG ute. 186, disc brakes.
The bolt threads for the clutch master dont line up with the holes in the firewall and I want to drill out for a hydraulic clutch.
Trying to wiggle the pedal box to bring them back into alignment but cant get to the brake bracket bolt next to the guard. Is there a trick or do I have to dismantle the booster?
Are there only two bolts here or is there more that I haven't seen? all are on the engine bay side of the firewall as far as I can tell.
The bolt next to the clutch bolts is easy.

Was looking at replacing the pinchweld around the doors on my EH was curious if anybody had used " D rubber " type pinchweld as opposed to the original?
Thought it may provide added/better seal around the doors also??
Any thoughts or tips are appreciated.

Gday all,
I have a 77 HX Kingswood that runs on LPG. As i believe this is a tragedy im converting it back to fuel. I havent had much, if any, experience with LPG and doing the conversion back to fuel so any help, suggestions, comments or advice would be greatly appreciated. Is it hard to convert it back to fuel? Im also chasing a fuel tank if anyone has one they want to get rid of.
