HJ 308 water pump and thermostat

Hey guys, I have a question about a leaking thermostat housing and water pump on an old red 308.
I recently replaced both with new ones,and used new high tensile bolts, but they are still leaking. Any ideas? Is it the high tensile bolts? Thanks.
