Wb ute fuel cap

Hi all.

I'm in the process of going right through my fuel system and replacing all the rubber hoses.

While cleaning the fuel tank out I found a handful of components that look like they may have come from a fuel cap.

The cap I'm currently running is very basic with just a simple rubber seal and a very small breathing hole, but that breathing hole tends to leak fuel when I have a full tank and I'll turn around corners on winding roads.

Fuel sender repairs

Hi all.

I'm in the process of repairing a leaking fuel sender.
It was leaking from the soldierd joint so that's been re soldered. I was lucky enough to be able to remove and reuse the original press on clip that holds the sender wire post in place. Unfortunately now it's leaking from the rubber seal that's seals the fuel sender Post.

Hg holden demister

I was wondering, seeings as engine bay air is always warm would it work as a demister. In my hg holden there is a warm air heating element in the under dash ducting, seperate from the heater box/ core. Now what im thinking is if i remove the heater box but leave the ducting that creates an area for hot engine bay air to escape and i thought i could use that as a sort of demister. It is a ute and could probably be heated by a candle. My theory is that cold air enters the engine bay in the usual way and instead of it heating up and staying there.
